Get ready for your sweet tooth to explode.
The Toothsome Chocolate Emporium & Savory Feast Kitchen, a popular restaurant at Universal Orlando, will open a third location at Universal CityWalk, replacing the former Hard Rock Cafe that once anchored Universal Studios Hollywood's restaurant and retail row. Hard Rock closed in January 2020.
Universal Studios Hollywood officials did not give a specific date — only that the restaurant will open sometime early next year. The restaurant is currently under construction.
Universal opened the first Toothsome Chocolate Emporium at Universal Orlando Resort in 2016 and a second location in Beijing, China, earlier this year.
The two-level 19th century steampunk-themed restaurant with a separate gift shop offers brunch, steak, pasta and other savory entrees.
But it's mostly known for its dessert bar and sweet, over-the-top desserts from ice cream sundaes to decadent milkshakes topped with a slice of key lime pie, a red velvet cupcake or chocolate-covered bacon.
In preparation for the Los Angeles opening of the Toothsome Chocolate Emporium, Universal plans to fill 250 jobs.
The company said they are looking to hire restaurant managers and sous chefs, servers, hosts, cooks, bartenders and more.
