July was a wet month, which is normally the case.  But, this year we had above normal rainfall at all reporting sites, with the St. Pete/Clearwater Airport reporting over 18 inches of rain in just July!

The rainfall report at Tampa International is incomplete because of a malfunction of the weather station there on July 5. We know there was heavier rain around the airport that day but it wasn’t reported in the raingauge.  So the 11.01 inches reported at Tampa might have been even higher.
