There will be a brief uptick in Atlantic Ocean moisture overnight tonight, and the result will be an increase in the clouds as well as the chance for a brief shower, or some sprinkles, in the early hours of Wednesday. Aside from that, the dry weather will continue through the next few days.

A warming trend is underway around the region, and we will have well above average afternoon highs for the remainder of the workweek. That will mean lots of 70s in many places, and some Piedmont and Sandhills spots could even clip 80 on Thursday or Friday afternoon.

Halloween looks mild and dry, and most areas will have temperatures cooling from the 70s into the 60s for the trick-or-treaters Thursday evening.

A cold front will swing into the mountains Friday and bring the chance for a few scattered showers, and then the weekend looks cooler and dry.
