Some parts of Florida are cleaning up today after severe thunderstorms dumped heavy rain, caused localized flooding and spawned a tornado.

The Associated Press reports one person died Thursday night after a tornado went through Escambia County.

These storms were from the same system that spawned deadly tornadoes in Texas.

Severe storms rolled through the region Thursday night, flooding roads and damaging local businesses.

Watch this incredible video from Pensacola Beach where heavy rains caused localized flooding and submerged cars under water.

The National Weather Service’s Mobile office says about 12 to 16 inches of rain fell in that region, which is the heaviest amount of rain the city had received since 2014.

The video shows the driveway looking like a river as it downpours outside.

Plus, check out this video of storm damage inside a Winn-Dixie in Okeechobee. You can see parts of the ceiling are ripped off as rain falls from above.
