A cold front moved south across Central Florida on Wednesday, and it brought much cooler and drier air to the region during the night time.
Temperatures were noticeably cooler Wednesday night. Most areas dropped around the mid-50s for a low, with coastal areas falling into the 60s.
Further north in areas like Marion County, temperatures may have dropped into the upper 40s, especially in more rural areas.
Breezy winds were around overnight with gusts from the north up to 20 to 25 mph.
The first typical sub-60 degree low of the fall occurs around Oct. 15 in Orlando, so the cooldown is right on schedule.
Orlando hasn't dropped below 60 degrees since April 24, so was one of the coolest night in almost six months.
Average highs in Orlando this time of the year are around 85 degrees, and average lows are around 66 degrees, so it will be below normal for mid-October.
Expect plenty of sunshine and low humidity on Thursday with afternoon temperatures around the mid-70s.
Humidity stays low and mornings and evenings will stay on the cooler side through the weekend.
Temperatures moderate and warm up back near normal into this weekend.
