TAMPA, Fla. — Busch Gardens Tampa Bay has set the dates for the return of Sesame Street Safari of Fun Kids’ Weekends.

The event will run every weekend from May 1 through May 23, Busch Gardens announced Thursday.
During Sesame Street Safari of Fun Kids’ Weekends, special activities will be offered at the park from 10:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. The activities include physically-distanced photo opportunities with Sesame Street characters, an interactive dance party at the Sesame Street Pavilion, a spring-themed outdoor maze on Festival Field and special visits from Busch Gardens’ animals.
Visitors will also be to share crafts they make at a new art display on Festival Field.
Each weekend will have a different theme and feature special activities. The first weekend, dubbed Rubber Duckie Weekend, will include an outdoor scavenger hunt where visitors help Ernie reunite with his bath time buddy. Bert and Ernie will also make an appearance.
Other themed weekends include Cookie Monster Weekend (May 8,9) and Elmo Weekend (May 15,16).
And on the final weekend, Busch Gardens will hold a special Everyday Heroes Weekend on May 22 and 23, which will feature special guests and local heroes.
Busch Gardens has a number of health and safety measures in place such as face mask requirements, social distancing and capacity limits.
