ZEPHYRHILLS, Fla. — A 24-year-old Central Florida man was killed Tuesday morning in a head-on crash in Pasco County.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, 24-year-old Chance Duvall of Winter Garden was killed when he attempted to pass a another vehicle on US Highway 98 in Zephyrhills.
Troopers said Duvall was driving a Toyota Camry that attempted to pass a Chevrolet Silverado pick-up truck on US 98 just north of County Road 54 at 6 a.m. Duvall was attempted to pass in the southbound lanes when his vehicle collided head on with a semi tractor trailer.
Duvall died at the scene.
The driver of the semi, a 56-year-old man from Plant City, suffered minor injuries.
The driver of the Chevy pick-up was not injured.
The crash and investigation closed the roadway for several hours Tuesday morning.
