Andelka Morariu, 62, was last seen on Friday and was reported missing when she didn’t show up for work on Saturday, according to St. Petersburg Police.
Morariu's sister, Ankica Pavicic, 56, said it’s very unusual for Morariu not to show up for work and she’s hoping for the best.
Forensic techs used red evidence tape to secure all the doors and windows of the home located on 81st Ave. N. in St. Petersburg. Outside the home, fliers of the missing woman have been posted around the neighborhood.
A neighbor told us that his Nest doorbell captured video of a man walking out of the home at about 1 a.m. on Saturday with either a tarp or blanket that he put into the trunk of a car. He said moments later the man can be seen dragging something to his trunk.
That neighbor said he gave a copy of that video to police. A spokesperson for St. Petersburg Police said she cannot confirm anything about the video because of the ongoing investigation.
Another neighbor said he heard the couple fighting inside the home on Friday.
We tried talking to Morariu’s ex-husband but he told us to “go away.”
Morariu is 5’2”, weighs 105 pounds, and has shoulder length blonde hair. If you have any information about her whereabouts call St. Petersburg Police at (727) 893-7780.
