TRINITY, Fla. — Brina Johnson's students can't wait each day to get to her Kindergarten class at Trinity Oaks Elementary.

Her students are truly over the rainbow to have her in their lives.

Johnson teaches special needs kindergarteners.

Distractions are different for children with autism but Johnson's encouragement always gets them back on track.

"You have to be able to show your whole self as the kids have to be able to show their whole self, and know you accept them," Johnson said. "It’s ok if they make mistakes, it’s ok if something happens, that you accept them, and you are here to help them."

Johnson demonstrates patience, as well as love with her students.

"That is amazing," Johnson said of being honored as an A+ Teacher. "It’s what you want - the parents and the kids to feel comfortable here, and to feel like, you know, we're here for them."
