Now, Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister is asking the public for tips regarding the lingering mystery raised in the show: What happened to Carole Baskin's husband?
Baskin's former husband, Jack “Don” Lewis, disappeared in 1997.
Baskin owns Big Cat Rescue in North Tampa.
Baskin has long maintained she had nothing to do with her husband vanishing.
Chronister said investigators are reviewing the original case files and has assigned a detective supervisor to handle the new tips coming in.
"Anyone who’s watched the series sees how complicated and convoluted their lives are," Chronister said. "Don Lewis’ life was no different."
Chronister said they have not interviewed Baskin or Lewis' children since Tiger King was released.
But he did say his office will dedicate resources to solving the case if they receive any credible tips.
