- Beaches in Manatee County are gearing up to reopen
- But parking in the city limits of Holmes Beach is still restricted
- Banners have been put up, warning people they will be towed
“You will be towed if you’re caught parking in the city limits of Holmes Beach,” Holmes Beach Police Chief William Tokajer.
Banners around Anna Maria Island warn people to not park on the street or in neighborhoods within Holmes Beach.
“We are going to err on the side of caution for our residents, we have an elderly population in Holmes beach and we are going to protect them the best we can,” Tokajer said.
Starting Monday, parking lots will be at limited capacity. Visitors will have a two-hour parking limit in designated parking lots. Individuals must also practice social distancing guidelines while on the beach as well.
