MANATEE COUNTY, Fla. -- The Florida Department of Education approved the Manatee County School District's reopening plan. Classes will now start on August 17, a week later than originally scheduled.
There are three learning options for students: on campus, hybrid, and eLearning.
Luckily, students will not be bound to one option for the whole year. They'll have the opportunity to change after each quarter.
The district said requests for transition to virtual learning during the quarter will be considered individually by the administrator.
For those going back to in-person learning, face masks must be worn by students and staff on all school campuses.
