We still don’t know exactly where Tropical Storm Laura is heading, but now is the time to make sure your family is prepared.

The city of St. Petersburg plans to open additional locations for free sandbag distribution.

You’ll have to shovel it yourself, and there’s a 10-bag limit for each household. Be sure to bring identification to prove you live in St. Pete.

• Pavement and Traffic Operations Building, 1744 9th Ave. N. (This location is open year-round but closes when an official warning is declared)
• Northeast Park, 875 62nd Avenue NE . (Will open if/when a storm warning is declared)
• James “JC” Turner Fields, 643 22nd Avenue S . (Will open if/when a storm warning is declared)
• Northwest Pool, 2331 60th Street N ., (Will open if/when a storm warning is declared)
