TAMPA, Fla. — The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office continues to investigate an incident Monday that left a 10-year-old boy dead.
According to a news release, deputies responded around 4:35 p.m. to reports of a shooting in the 4000 block of Dreisler Street and found the boy.
He was pronounced dead at the scene with injuries consistent with a gunshot, according to a sheriff's office spokesperson.
The sheriff's office said members of the boy's family were in the home at the time, and everyone is cooperating with the investigation.
