ZooTampa at Lowry Park is celebrating the birth of a Bornean orangutan.
The baby boy was born to first-time mom Randee on November 15.
In a news release, the zoo said it’s the eleventh orangutan born there.
According to the zoo, the wild Bornean orangutan population has plunged more than 50% over the last 60 years because of deforestation and unsustainable palm oil farming..
The new addition made his public debut on Thursday.
