HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. — On what was expected to be a busy first weekend for teens and young adults to get their COVID-19 vaccinations, weather is causing some cancellations and delayed openings.

- FEMA vaccine site at Tampa Greyhound expected to open at 3 p.m.
- Larry Sanders Sports Compplex, Oakland Community Center sites to open later, too
- Three mobile sites scheduled for Hillsborough are canceled because of weather
The opening of the Tampa Greyhound site was initially postponed until at least 3 p.m., but officials later said it would remain closed for the rest of the day.
The Tampa Greyhound site was forced to close early Saturday when storms rolled through the area. Weather forecasts Sunday call for more stormy weather ahead of an approaching cool front.
All of the following sites also remained closed for the day:
- Larry Sanders Sports Complex in Tampa
- Oakland Community Center in Haines City
- Curtis Hixon Park in Tampa
- Hyde Park in Tampa
- Greater Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Tampa
Age eligibility to receive COVID vaccines was expanded Monday to include residents who are 18 years old and up for all vaccines and for 16-year-olds and up for the Pfizer vaccine.
