PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. — St. Petersburg police are investigating the death of a woman who officials said was killed by her sister.

According to authorities, police responded to a home in the 600 block of Newton Ave. South just before 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Officials identified the victim as 54-year-old Sherry Lynn Howard. The medical examiner has yet to release the cause of death.

The woman’s sister, 39-year-old Charee Howard was arrested and charged with 2^nd degree murder.

Authorities said sisters lived together in the home. No one else was present at the time.

This case is still an active investigation.
