TAMPA, Fla. — One person is dead after an overnight house fire in Tampa.

According to Tampa police, officers and Tampa Fire Rescue responded to a fire at 11:15 p.m. Monday at a home on Crenshaw Street.

Officials said crews worked to get people out of the burning home but a man was found inside and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Another person was detained at the scene in connection to the fire.

Authorities have not released the names or ages of the victim or the person detained or any information on how the fire started.  

PASCO COUNTY FATAL FIRE

At least one person died in a fire early Tuesday morning in Shady Hills according to Pasco County Fire Rescue.

The fire started around 2:19 a.m. on Larry Road in Shady hills.

When they arrived, crews said they found the single-wide camper trailer fully engulfed in flames. The state fire marshal is on scene along with local investigators.

There is no immediate cause of the fire.
