PASCO COUNTY, Fla. — Pasco County is holding its municipal elections Tuesday. Elections are taking place in Dade City, New Port Richey, Port Richey, San Antonio, Zephyrhills and the town of St. Leo.

Municipal elections are only for voters who live within the city limits.

In Dade City, Jim Shive faces Lucinda “Lucy” Uribe for the Group 3 commission seat. Kristin Church and Steven Van Gorden face off for Group 4 commission seat.

In Zephyrhills, Sam R. Turgeon and Jodi Wilkeson face off for Council Seat 3, and Manny Funes and Charles Edward Proctor compete for Seat 5.

Voters in San Antonio will vote for a new commissioner from the following candidates: Caitlin Bolender, Blaze A. Drinkwine, David H. Rios, Jorge A. Varino II and John T. Vogel II.

In Port Richey, voters will choose between Cherokee A. Sampson and Sheri A. Sharer as a councilperson for a year-long term and also pick two councilpersons for a three-year term.

Robert Hubbard, Thomas E. Kinsella and David Mueller are in the running for those two seats.

In New Port Richey, five candidates are vying for two city council seats: Bertell Butler IV, Lewis Curtwright, Dell deChant, Matt Murphy and Tom O’Neill.

And for St. Leo town commissioner, William Hamilton, the incumbent in Seat 5, will face Tory England.

Polls will open Tuesday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

TEMPORARY POLLING LOCATIONS

Brian E. Corley, Pasco's Supervisor of Elections, announced that a temporary change in polling locations is in effect only for the April 9, 2024, Municipal Election.

Dade City voters in precincts 1, 19, and 119 will vote at the First Baptist Church at 37511 Church Avenue, Dade City.

New Port Richey voters in precincts 25 and 50 will vote at the New Port Richey Recreation Center at 6630 Van Buren Street, New Port Richey.

Zephyrhills voters in precincts 6 and 115 will vote at the Alice Hall Community Center at 38116 5th Avenue, Zephyrhills.

The cities of Port Richey, San Antonio and the Town of St. Leo will vote at their regularly assigned polling place.

The polls will open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. for qualified voters.

Voters are statutorily required to present photo and signature identification when voting or vote a provisional ballot.

The elections office sent a notification to the address on file for voters who live within the precincts with polling location changes. If your voter registration record is not up-to-date, you may not have received this notification.
