Airport officials said the busiest day will likely be this Sunday, with about 85,000 passengers expected.

Since it will be so busy, TPA says some garages may reach capacity early.

The roof of the short-term parking garage was damaged from Hurricane Milton but airport leaders expect repairs to wrap up and roof top parking to open by the end of the week.

The airport recommends booking parking online ahead of time, to try to travel light, and avoid checking bags if possible.

That will help with congestion and speed up lines.

TSA leaders says security check points will be fully staffed to get people through quickly.

"I’ve got overtime, I've got all the people I need to manage the operation,” said Kirk Skinner, TSA Security Director at TPA. “So, I think we'll be fine in terms of wait times."
