ORLANDO, Fla. — A head-on crash injured two Orlando Police officers and two others on North John Young Parkway and Colonial Drive early Thursday.

  • Officers say sedan drove head-on into police SUV
  • No serious injuries; sedan driver will face charges

At about 2:40 a.m. Thursday, an Orlando Police SUV and a white sedan were stopped in the intersection of North John Young Parkway and Colonial.

In a news release, police said the SUV was traveling southbound on John Young Parkway and had a green light when the white sedan made a left turn, right into the officers' path.

The front of the Orlando Police SUV was smashed in, and the white sedan's left side was torn off.

Everyone involved were taken to hospitals but no one had life-threatening injuries, police said.

The sedan's driver will face charges once they're discharged from the hospital, they said.

That section of the John Young Parkway has been cleared.
