TAMPA, Fla. β€” With the forecast showing Milton impacting the west coast of Florida, many people will be taking to the roads to prepare and or evacuate.

NOTE: Free shuttles operating in Pinellas, Pasco and Hillsborough counties assisting with Milton evacuations to shelters. And Uber will provide free rides to and from shelters in counties evacuating for Milton.

JUST IN: In a statement posted to X, Pinellas County said: "Following guidance from the U.S. Coast Guard, Pinellas County plans to lock its three movable bridges in the closed position at noon today in advance of Hurricane Milton. The Dunedin Causeway bridges, Beckett Bridge in Tarpon Springs and Park Boulevard Bridge in Seminole will remain open to vehicle traffic, but will not open for boat traffic until conditions are clear following the storm.

JUST IN: To help facilitate evacuations for Hurricane Milton, Emergency Shoulder Use (ESU) plans are actively being put in place for Eastbound I-4 and portions of Northbound I-75.
