Hurricane Milton brought nearly a foot of rain to Tampa, which broke the monthly rainfall record in one day.
October started off wet and then culminated with Milton's landfall on Wednesday, the 9th.
After October 10th, it only rained on two days in Tampa.
The cities of Tampa, St. Petersburg, Bradenton, and Lakeland all saw their rainiest Octobers on record.
Places like Lakeland and St. Petersburg had more than double the rainfall of the previous record.
Tampa's previous record was 10.33 inches in 1922, so we broke the record by almost 4 inches.
Overall, temperatures were near average for Tampa with the first half of the month starting off cooler and wetter and the second half ending warm and dry.
