TAMPA, Fla. — Spooktacular, Busch Gardens Tampa Bay’s family-friendly Halloween event, returns this weekend with trick-or-treating, characters and more.

The event, which Busch Gardens is touting as “bigger than before,” will take place at the park’s Festival Walkway from noon to 4 p.m. starting Sept. 9

There will be photo opportunities, a costume parade and a new experience with Professor Pufflemintz, who has been put in charge of a set of interactive experiments.

Park visitors can meet characters, including a “witch-in-training” named Kandy, who also will be part of several new activities at the event. The lineup includes story time with Kandy reading “Room on the Broom and a walkthrough pumpkin experience with a photo op.

Spooktacular will run Saturdays and Sundays through Oct. 29 as well as Monday, Oct. 30 and Tuesday, Oct. 31.

The event is included with admission to Busch Gardens.
