A brush fire in San Diego County spread to 4,250 acres today and is 10% contained, according to Cal Fire.

6. Only in Florida: Watch for falling iguanas this winter
With colder air across much of the U.S., including Florida, there’s one hazard you may not have considered: falling iguanas.

  • BOLTS IN CHICAGO | The Tampa Bay Lightning, coming off two straight losses to start their current road trip, have a matchup tonight with the Chicago Blackhawks. The Bolts will enter play with 53 points, good for third place in the Atlantic Division. Chicago, meanwhile, has just 34 points, last in the Central Division. The puck drop is set for 8 p.m.
  • MANATEE LIBRARY REOPENING | Manatee County Public Library has announced Feb. 3 as the date for the reopening of the Central Library. The library has been closed since last year's hurricanes, and extensive repairs and improvements are underway and nearing completion. While the library will resume regular hours and programming, some schedules will flex and change due to construction and repair needs.
