This year, early voting will go for 14 days. So what do residents need to know before casting a vote in-person?

Twenty four early voting locations will open today in Hillsborough County through August 16. They will be open from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. Here are the site locations

Here's how early voting sites will work:

  • Only a limited number of voters will be allowed inside at one time.
  • Surfaces will be wiped throughout the day.
  • Poll workers are required to wear masks and plexiglass barriers or face shields will be used for additional protection.
  • Voters will also be required to wear masks and every voter will get their own pen to sign in and mark their ballot.

"With ongoing cleaning and limitd capacity, in-person voting will go a little slower, but once voters are inside the polling place, they should be able to move through quickly," Supervisor of Elections Craig Latimer said.

There will also be tents set up outside each early voting site for people to drop off their mail-in ballots.
