TAMPA, Fla. — Tampa police had a growling gator on their hands Monday morning in the area of W. Kathleen Street and N. Howard Avenue.
The police department posted about the encounter on social media, saying officers were able to get the gator off of the street, and agents with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission took it to a new home.
Officials say no officers or alligators were harmed during the encounter.
