We're tracking Tropical Storm Helene across the southeast of the U.S., along with Hurricane Isaac and Tropical Storm Joyce. There's two other areas with low development odds.

Hurricane Isaac

Hurricane Isaac has formed in the north-central Atlantic Ocean.

Isaac formed in the north-central Atlantic on Wednesday, Sept. 25. It's the ninth named storm of the 2024 Atlantic hurricane season and the sixth hurricane.

Isaac has winds of 75 mph and is located about 1,000 miles east northeast of Bermuda. It will pass north of the Azores by late weekend or early next week and does not pose any risk to land.

 

Tropical Storm Joyce

Tropical Storm Joyce has formed in the eastern Atlantic Ocean.

Joyce formed in the eastern tropical Atlantic on Friday, Sept. 27. It's the tenth named storm of the 2024 Atlantic hurricane season.

Joyce has winds of 50 mph and is located about 1,300 miles east of the northern Leeward Islands. Gradual strengthening is expected through Saturday, followed by weakening early next week.

 

Tracking two tropical waves

Two other disturbances have low odds of developing, one in the Caribbean Sea and another in the eastern Atlantic.
