Juli brings you the morning forecast and the latest from Klystron 9 every weekday.

A Chicago native, Juli graduated with honors from Loyola University Chicago with a degree in communications and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa academic honor society.

Juli earned her meteorology certification from Mississippi State University and is a member of the American Meteorological Society. She was one of the first dozen women to earn the AMS Certified Broadcast Meteorologist Seal.

Juli is a certified Hurricane Awareness instructor with the National Disaster Preparedness Training Center. She also participates in hurricane expos and talks to local schools and community groups about weather safety and preparedness.

Juli's career began at WTVO-TV in Rockford, Illinois. She also worked at KMTV in Omaha, Nebraska for three years before joining Bay News 9 in 2002.

Since that time, Juli has been recognized for her coverage of severe weather in Tampa Bay.

This includes several Associated Press awards for tornado coverage and an Associated Press award for a children’s weather education special.

Juli was nominated for an Emmy award in 2011 for hours of live coverage of tornadoes that moved through Tampa Bay. She was nominated for another Emmy in 2016, along with other members on the Bay News 9 morning show team, for continuing coverage of early morning tornadoes.

In her free time, you will find her with her family riding bikes, attending her children’s gymnastics and hockey events, and trying to find the time to read more books!
