TAMPA — Police said a man has been arrested after Tuesday's incident in which a semi-truck crashed into a strip club, killing one person and injuring two others.

Dylan Fogle, 25, has been charged with one felony count of first-degree murder, two counts of attempted first-degree murder and one count of vehicular homicide, among other charges.

Officers responded at 4:19 a.m. Tuesday to reports of a truck hitting at least one person in the parking lot of Tampa Emperors Gentlemen’s Club, located at 5718 E. Adamo Drive.

Witnesses told investigators that the alleged driver had been kicked out of the club just before the truck crashed into a group of people standing at the entrance.

The person killed was identified as Giovanni Soto. Two other people who were injured have since been released.

Police said Fogle also had to be treated, and that he was placed in Orient Road Jail after his release from a hospital.

“Violence is never the answer,” police Major Patrick Messmer said Tuesday. “It doesn’t matter if violence is being conducted with a firearm or using a truck as a weapon.”

Fogle’s blood alcohol content was above the legal 0.08 limit, police said in a news release.
